It's that time of year again, when gamers and basketball fans come together to celebrate the official release of the latest installment of the NBA 2K series. Every year, the game is a huge deal, to the point where when the ratings of the players are revealed, everyone is on the verge of jumping out of their seats to see who will win.

With a combined rating of 96 points, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets, and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks are the top four players in the NBA 2K22 edition. However, one of the league's most promising young players believes that is doing James a disservice.

Zion Williamson, the star of the New Orleans Pelicans, appeared on an episode of Taylor Rooks' show, "Just Playin," and stated that he believes LeBron James deserves to be rated a 99:

Williamson also stated that he believes Durant should receive a 99, while Antetokounmpo and Curry should receive 97 or 98 ratings, respectively. What is undeniably clear is that those four players have consistently proven to be the cream of the crop in the NBA, and the fact that James is still performing at such a high level is truly remarkable.

LeBron James is about to begin his 19th season in the NBA, and the fact that he is even mentioned among those other names is truly astounding. During the Lakers' championship season in 2020, James finished second in the MVP voting, despite many believing he should have won the award. After that, he had a strong start to the 2021 season, and was once again in the MVP conversation before suffering a high ankle sprain that ended his season. Free MyTeam Rewards NBA 2K22 MT & Points With Locker Codes

Williamson himself has drawn comparisons to LeBron because of his unbelievable athleticism, which allows him to perform feats that should be impossible for someone his size. Despite the fact that he is still a long way from reaching James' level of accomplishments, the young man continues to be considered one of the league's most promising prospects.

The Lakers' NBA 2K22 ratings have been released in their entirety.
While LeBron James leads the Lakers in terms of ratings with 96, Anthony Davis isn't far behind with 94, and Russell Westbrook has a respectable 87 rating. Regarding role players, Kendrick Nunn and Rajon Rondo rank among the top 78, while Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony rank among the top 77. Following the recent trade of Marc Gasol, the Lakers' lowest-rated players are Kent Bazemore and Trevor Ariza, both of whom are rated at 74.
